A tithe of time
Abide 96
Give God your time. Grow in His presence.
Abide 96 helps you build a grace-filled daily rhythm with God through Scripture, prayer, worship, reflection, study, and service.
Start where you are. Every moment with God matters.
Why 96 minutes?
Most of us are awake about 16 hours a day. The 96-minute rhythm is an invitation to offer about 10% of that time to Jesus — not as a burden, but as a response to grace.
Many believers already give a tenth of their income. Abide 96 asks a simple question: what might happen if we offered God a tenth of our day, too? Those minutes don't have to come all at once. They can be spread across the day — prayer over morning coffee, Scripture at lunch, worship on the drive home, quiet time before bed.
One way a full 96 minutes could look
- 20 Bible reading
- 15 Prayer
- 15 Worship
- 20 Bible study
- 10 Journaling
- 10 Praying for others
- 6 Silence and reflection
Times are in minutes. Serving others, fellowship, sermons, Christian podcasts, and devotional reading can be part of your rhythm too. Only have 10 or 15 minutes today? A shorter rhythm still matters.
An invitation, not a requirement
Abide 96 is not about earning salvation, proving your devotion, or checking a religious box. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Abide 96 is about responding to that grace by learning to remain in Him.
Grace first
You do not abide to earn God's love; you abide because you are already loved.
No shame
Missed a day? Only managed ten minutes? God is not measuring your worth by your minutes. Grace gives you room to begin again.
Start where you are
The goal is not a perfect streak, but a present heart. Begin with what you can, and let it grow.
Rooted in Scripture
John 15:4–5 (KJV)“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”
Psalm 96:1–3 (KJV)“O sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth. Sing unto the Lord, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.”
Psalm 96:8 (KJV)“Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts.”
Ephesians 2:8–9 (KJV)“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
Scripture quotations are from the King James Version (public domain).

Questions, answered with grace
Do I have to do all 96 minutes?
No. The 96-minute rhythm is an invitation, not a burden. Every moment with God matters, and a shorter rhythm can still be meaningful. Start where you are today, and let your time with God grow naturally.
Isn't this legalistic?
It would be if it were about earning God's love or proving yourself. It isn't. We're saved by grace through faith, not by works (Ephesians 2:8–9). Abide 96 is simply a rhythm that helps us make room to abide in Christ, the way a branch stays connected to the vine.
What if I miss a day?
Grace for today. Missing a day does not make you a failure, and God's love for you has not changed. Today is a fresh invitation to turn your heart toward Jesus again.
What counts as time with God, and does it have to be all at once?
Bible reading, prayer, worship, journaling, Bible study, Scripture memory, silence, thanksgiving, praying for others, serving, fellowship, sermons, Christian podcasts, and devotional reading can all be part of it. And no, it doesn't have to be all at once: prayer in the morning, Scripture at lunch, worship on a commute, reflection before bed.
Does it cost anything?
No. The 7-Day Challenge and Abide 96 resources are free.
Can my church or small group use it?
